ORIX EA Review: MT4 vs MT5, Live Signal and GBPUSD Risk

ORIX EA for MT4 and MT5 is a selective GBPUSD M5 system built around price behaviour and market structure, with a stop loss on each trade. Its appeal is defined trade-level exits without accumulating a grid. The main consideration is evidence depth: the public MT5 account has only 19 trades, and recent losses temper the smooth historical gallery curves.

The strategy and what risk percentage means

ORIX looks for structural reversal opportunities on GBPUSD rather than applying standard indicator crossovers. The developer describes single-trade management without martingale, grids, averaging against the market or hedging. Fixed lots and automatic risk are supported. A stop-based risk setting applies to one trade; it is not a guarantee that total drawdown stays under that percentage.

MT4 versus MT5: choose the actual account platform

The two listings describe the same market and timeframe, but they are different platform builds. MT5 supports the account modes identified in its listing and is the platform of the linked signal. MT4 users need the MT4 build and should validate broker-specific execution and historical data in their own terminal. There is no independent MT4 signal linked in the material checked, so identical returns are not assumed.

Live signal: a small positive account with recent losses

On 16 September 2026 the ORIX MT5 real account on ICMarketsSC-MT5-2 showed 15.60% growth, $15.60 profit and $115.60 balance/equity from a $100 initial deposit, with no further deposits or withdrawals. It displayed 24 weeks of account history, while the public Started timestamp was 28 April 2026; those are not interchangeable measures of monitoring duration.

There were 19 GBPUSD trades: 14 winners and five losers, with profit factor 1.35. Average win was $4.30 against an average loss of $8.91. Relative balance drawdown was 17.32%, while relative equity drawdown was displayed as 11.42%; the separate maximal balance field was $19.04 (14.14%). These are distinct reported fields, not a single universal risk figure.

June contributed +30.88%, but August was −4.75% and September to the check was −9.86%; the trailing monthly-growth field showed −14.14%. The most recent trade was eight days earlier and average holding time was two days. That record supports the low-frequency description but is too small to establish durable profitability.

The account uses 1:1000 leverage. MQL5 blocks signal subscriptions above 1:500, so the public page can be inspected but is not currently subscribable through that service. This copying restriction is separate from whether a customer can run the EA on a compatible broker account.

Release changes and historical tests

The 1 April 2026 release notes for both editions reduce the stated stop-loss value from 110 to 60, re-optimise settings and include stability fixes. Earlier February notes mention persistent recovery state and a lot-sizing margin correction. The current sales overview rejects martingale and averaging, but the release-note recovery wording is not explained in detail; it should not be interpreted as a documented grid feature or silently omitted from due diligence.

The gallery contains very smooth historical curves and tester reports. These are developer-supplied simulations, may reflect earlier settings, and are not a substitute for the current live account. A customer comment questions the historical tests; we have not independently established that allegation. The practical response is to reproduce the intended build and settings on independent data and realistic broker costs, rather than treat either the marketing curve or the accusation as proven.

Customer feedback: positive tests, but limited forward evidence

The MT5 listing showed 19 reviews and MT4 four at this check. Much of the favourable feedback describes backtests, early demo use or just a few trades. Marco Gastaldi reported two winning trades in two weeks in June; other buyers praised the selective entries and support. Those are customer observations, not independent performance verification.

Critical feedback raises low trading frequency and losses; an MT4 reviewer reported an initial losing trade and several stop-outs during the year. A comment also disputes backtest credibility, without evidence we could independently adjudicate. The live account’s recent losing months make it particularly important not to market the strategy as loss-free. Claims about another removed EA are not findings about ORIX.

Setup, execution and platform checks

The stated starting setup is GBPUSD M5, default parameters, a reliable ECN/RAW-style broker and optional VPS. The quoted $100/€100 minimum assumes 0.01 lot; that minimum lot can make actual stop-based percentage risk larger than intended on a small account. Check account currency, margin, spreads and contract specification before using the suggested 1–5% per-trade range.

Confirm winter GMT offset and summer DST against the broker’s server clock. The original setup illustration is retained below as historical documentation; use only permissions actually required by the current build and trusted dependencies. The public comments refer to privately supplied manuals and presets, so no unavailable manual content has been invented.

Assessment

ORIX is most relevant to traders seeking sparse GBPUSD positions with explicit stops rather than continuous basket recovery. Its live account is more informative than the smooth historical illustrations, and currently shows both profits and meaningful losing periods. Select the correct platform, allow for a small evidence sample and test execution independently. The shield’s original prop-firm slogan does not establish compliance with any particular firm’s rules.
