Updated 18 September 2026. Source-based editorial review; not a hands-on trading test.
ThunderGold Scalper combines market structure, trend, candle quality, volume and momentum filters for XAUUSD trading. Its M15 approach uses automatic exits and execution controls rather than continuous entries.
Our assessment: ThunderGold is a candidate for traders who want a selective gold strategy with explicit execution filters. Its main practical constraint is broker sensitivity. The current public account helps illustrate behaviour, but the small balance and short holds limit the conclusions available from it.

Execution quality is part of the strategy
Short holding periods make trading costs and fills important. The developer recommends Raw Spread or Raw ECN conditions and names TMGM, Vantage and VT Markets among tested brokers. Those are source claims rather than a promise of matching results. The current MT5 documentation also has a specific Exness broker setting for point adjustment.
Stops and filters do different jobs
Stop loss, take profit and trailing manage positions; news, holiday, daily-trade and cooldown controls decide when new opportunities can be taken. None guarantees that a short stop will fill at its requested price. Consecutive losses remain possible even when the system is operating as configured.
Choose the correct platform
The MT5 edition has a current developer listing. The old MT4 source URL no longer resolves to its product page at this check, but CheaperForex continues to sell the existing MT4 edition. Current MT5 documentation and signal information are useful reference material, not verification that every feature or trade is identical in the retained MT4 build.
Live account evidence — checked 18 September 2026
The TMGM-linked signal showed 71.72% growth and $71.72 profit from a $100 deposit, with $171.72 balance/equity and no later deposits or withdrawals. It displayed 17 weeks of history and 142 trades; monitoring started on 31 July 2026. Relative balance drawdown was 14.01%, relative equity drawdown 0.24%. Average holding time was 49 seconds, and MQL5 warned about negative slippage when copying.
The equity statistic should not be read as a complete risk summary: the balance record separately contains a roughly 14% drawdown. This is still a small demonstration account and does not show execution at larger volume. The account’s displayed history predates its public monitoring start. Treat it as dated evidence associated with the current MT5 listing, not proof of the MT4 file’s results.
How to read the older screenshots
The images below are retained from the earlier article so their original evidence remains available. Their figures, software interfaces and settings are historical. They must not be read as a current live snapshot or as an independent test of the latest release. A backtest models historical conditions; it does not establish future returns or reproduce every broker’s execution.

Customer feedback in context
The current MT5 listing has 24 reviews at 4.25, replacing the launch-era description of a handful of reviews. Customer feedback should be read alongside broker conditions and holding time. Support praise and a positive recent period do not establish that short-stop scalping will behave identically on another feed.

A practical evaluation checklist
Record the broker, exact symbol, installed build, preset, sizing mode and active strategies before testing. Include commission, spread and realistic execution assumptions. Inspect open exposure and losing periods as well as closed-trade profit. Start with a demo or the smallest practical size, and compare behaviour rather than expecting the published account’s percentage return. Keep enough capital and margin for adverse movement; no stop or daily-loss setting guarantees an exact cash limit during gaps or execution failures.
Who it suits
